About Kusum Foundation & Platform Purpose
Kusum Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organisation established to honour the memory and compassionate spirit of Mrs. Kusum Mishra (1956–2008). Our work focuses on four core pillars:
- Women's Education: Facilitating schooling, scholarships, and skill-building opportunities for young girls and women.
- Madhubani Art & Livelihood: Preserving cultural heritage while providing dignified economic opportunities for traditional women artisans.
- Health & Wellness: Promoting preventive healthcare awareness and community health support.
- Healthy Ageing: Advocating for older adults to age with dignity, companionship, and active care.
3
Intellectual Property & Cultural Content
All materials on this website — including text, photography, graphic designs, logos, Madhubani artisan documentation, stories, videos, and branding — are the property of Kusum Foundation or used with appropriate permission and credit.
- Artisan Heritage Rights: Madhubani art motifs and photographs of artisans are shared to celebrate and preserve cultural heritage. Unauthorized commercial reproduction, resale, or distribution of artwork images without written permission is strictly prohibited.
- Educational & Non-Commercial Use: You may share excerpts or links to our stories and programmes for non-commercial educational purposes, provided clear attribution is given to Kusum Foundation.
4
Donations, CSR Contributions & Tax Benefits
All charitable contributions made to Kusum Foundation are applied directly towards our non-profit programmes and grassroots beneficiaries in accordance with our organizational mission.
Tax Exemption (Section 80G): Eligible donations made by Indian taxpayers qualify for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Official 80G donation receipts and Form 10BE certificates are issued to donors providing valid PAN details and complete billing addresses.
